Almonds are extremely nutritious nuts and they highly benefit you. They provide you with a lot of substances such as fats of which most are monosaturated, proteins and fibre as well as vitamins and minerals. Almonds contain a relatively small amount of carbohydrates and so calories. They are a good source of antioxidants which protect the body from ageing and cancers. These antioxidants are concentrated mainly in the brown outer skin of the nuts. A high level of Vitamin E lowers risk of heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer`s disease. A high amount of magnesium helps to control blood sugar level and blood pressure. Eating almonds can reduce the level of `bad` cholesterol. Protein and fibre contained in almonds will satisfy you and so reduce calories craving.

Serving: The simplest way of eating almonds is snacking on them and we recommend to keep them within the reach or in your pocket to avoid other `unhealthy` temptation during a day. In the morning you can sprinkle them on your breakfast cereal or porridge or add them to yogurt. You can also garnish your lunch salads with them or add crushed almonds to your desserts.
